Among the lots in the European Furniture and Decorative Arts Auction at Skinners will be this superb Russian .875 silver and hardstone-mounted Kovsh worth at least $20,000. The Kovsh was made in Moscow around 1908-1918 by Orest Fedorovich Kurlyukov. This Russian Revival style piece features the bard Boyan who appears in the Russian epic poem The Lay of Igor's Campaign. This excellent lot will be up for sale July 19th.
