Well. This is not something I ever expected to see outside of a museum, but it's hard to believe it will end up anywhere else. This late 19th century Royal Navy deck gun would have been used to sink torpedo boats. In every respect, it's a nasty looking piece of work. Made by the Nordenfelt Guns & Ammunition Company, this gun is up for auction from Christie's in September as part of their Out of the Ordinary Sale. Estimated value is for £60-70,000.
