Rory McIlroy Open Championship golf ball sold

The Nike golf ball which Rory McIlroy used to win the Open Championship has sold for more than £30,000 at auction. Mcllroy threw the ball into the crowd after winning the tournament and was caught by Lee Horner from Leeds. The ball was then auctioned by Green Jacket Auctions, who claim that the final price is the 2nd highest ever paid for a golf ball.
