Rolling Stones memorabilia leads Michael Klenfner auction

The memorabilia collection of music executive Michael Klenfner stars Rolling Stones items

Rolling Stones memorabilia will provide one of the main attractions in the February 5 auction of the collection of music executive Michael Klenfner.

Held online, the auction offers hundreds of items acquired by Klenfner and his wife, much of which was gained during his career as a publicist for the likes of the Rolling Stones, the Who, Aerosmith and the Doors.

Included is a Keith Richards autographed ESP 400 Series guitar, which has been boldly signed "love Keith Richards" on the scratch plate.It has been given a modest estimate of just $600-900, providing a fantastic opportunity for fans.

The highest priced autographed guitar in the auction is an Epiphone Les Paul, which has been signed by its creator and is expected to bring up to $1,200. Les Paul's own collection was brought to auction in June 2012 and was topped by a 1951 Fender signed by the guitar god, which sold for $216,000.

Other signed guitars in the music memorabilia sale include examples from Aerosmith's Joe Perry, the Who's Pete Townshend and AC/DC.

Also from the Rolling Stones is a framed and signed copy of the Dirty Work album, which is expected to sell for $500-700. Followingis a Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus tour jacket from 1982, valued at $200-400 and accompanied by a pin from the same tour.
