It was hoped thejersey would raise more than $100,000 for Jackson's Mr October Foundation for Kids, and his family, but has been pulled after memorabilia experts noticed that the pinstripe alignment was off.

It is believed that the example at auction is the jersey thatJackson wore just after the game, but not actually on the pitch. The star lost much of his career memorabilia during a house fire, and is said to be heart-broken.

"For 35 years, that jersey has been in a frame. It doesn't make sense. It broke my heart," he told the New York Post.
