Prince of Wales sword and record of services sold

The Prince of Wales (later Edward VIII) officers sword & record of services has sold at Christies for £12,500. The sword was made by Henry Wilkinson and dated 'August 1914' and etched with the 'GR V' Royal cypher. The record of services was filled out by the Prince on the 10th of August 1914-where prince has noted his next of kin as "His Majesty, The King, Buckingham Palace, London". The pieces were sold in Christies 'Out of the Ordinary' sale which finished yesterday.
