An album of photographs taken by future king Edward VIII during a tour of the western front almost 100 years ago are to auction. The then Prince of Wales took his own camera on a morale-boosting visit to the front line in France in 1915, aged 21, taking scores of photographs. The young Prince placed the snaps in an album which stayed with and then his widow, Wallis, until her death in 1986. The album is now being offered at Bonhams, who expect it to fetch an estimated £6,000 to £8,000 on the 1st of October.

Love to leaf through that photo album. A great piece for Royal and militaria fans.
