My word, this is a rather silly looking helmet. I'm hoping for the original wearer's sake that it was a piece of dress uniform and not something actually worn in battle! The Polish army in particular has been known for some extravagant ceremonial dress after all. The helmet also features a lobster tail rear in case the owner's mockery was incomplete. Estimated value from the Auctioneers Duke's is £600-1,200.
