Piha Kaetta is a resource and information website for collectors of Sri Lankan ‘Piha’, a type of ancient and decorative knife.

“I am going to put any information I can gather here on this site. So far I have very little, but odds are what I have found is more than you've seen.”

According to the website, it is one of the few English-language online resources committed to providing information to collectors and enthusiasts about Piha.


This section contains articles and images relating to Piha.


The gallery features several images of a variety of individual Piha as well as collections, including the Alferes collection. Consisting of over 100 examples, the website comments that it “may be the biggest private collection in existence”.

Also featured is the Vandoo collection, which includes a very old and rare Piha with a bronze blade and hippo ivory handle.
