Pez Collector’s News
Pez Collector’s News is an information website for Pez collectors and enthusiasts. Its motto is, “The Largest & Longest Running PEZ Newsletter Ever”.
The website was founded in 1995.
Pez is a small “candy brick” invented by Austrian Eduard Haas in 1927.
The word ‘Pez’ is an abbreviation of the German word for peppermint, the original flavour of the sweet. The highly collectible Pez ‘dispensers’ were created around 1950.
The cartoon heads for which the dispensers became famous were introduced around 1953 – it is estimated that over 500 ‘heads’ have been made.
The major purpose of the website is to promote its newsletter ‘Pez Collector’s News’, which provides a number of different benefits to subscribers:
- Advertising for buyers and sellers
- Convention news
- Book recommendations
- Other candy dispenser information
The newsletter features breaking news relating to Pez and provides ‘spy pictures’ of new dispenser lines, exclusively for subscribers.
Pez Collector’s News also has an online store where collectors can buy a variety of collectible items, not limited to Pez-related memorabilia.
This page provides information on conventions for Pez collectors and enthusiasts.
Also included are pictures from tours around the various Pez factories located around the world; featured are pictures from the US, Austrian and Chinese factories.
An extensive list of links for Pez collectors is provided – this includes information websites, convention news, history of Pez websites, and Pez memorabilia dealers.
