A set of six parcel gilt silver beakers bearing the maker's mark of A.Lamb of Nuremberg have sold for a staggering $305,000 at Sothebys. The set were dated from around 1660 and more than doubled their pre sale estimate. They were sold as part of the Important Silver, Vertu & Russian Works of Art sale which took place in New York on the 23rd of October. The sale managed an impressive sale total of $2,985,689.
