Original Rex Morgan Comic Strips
Original Rex Morgan Comic Strips are newspaper comic strips created by psychiatrist Dr. Nicolas P. Dallis.
History & Description
Dallis first created Rex Morgan, M.D. in 1948 under the pseudonym Dal Curtis and the comic strip has maintained a readership for over half a century. According to King Features Syndicate, it has been published in over three-hundred newspapers and in fourteen foreign languages.
Throughout its six decade lifespan, Rex Morgan, M.D. has been applauded for its direct confrontation of taboo themes and social issues, such as sexual harassment, adoption, organ transplants, diabetes, tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, domestic violence and drug abuse.
Over the years, the comic strip has been drawn by some of the most prominent and celebrated comic-artists, such as Marvin Bradley and Frank Edgington, Tony DiPreta and, most recently, Graham Nolan.
