Fans of the Bond series would tell you that the first Aston Martin James Bond ever drove was in the novel Goldfinger, in which he drove an Aston Martin DB2 MKIII (often incorrectly referred to as a DB3). But after months of restoration and research it turns out entirely likely that Ian Fleming got the idea from this very DB2. The modifications made to the car include a two way radio, reinforced overriders, and the car's past is linked to Ian Fleming's close friends and colleagues.
