Original Concorde nosecone to see $4,500 at Bonhams

Bonhams' RAF Museum auction features Concorde design drawings and an original nosecone piece

The original nosecone of the Concorde aircraft is one of the star lots of Bonhams' annual sale at the RAF Museum in Hendon, which takes place on April 29.

Concorde Nose tipThe piece may sell well, as the very tip of Concorde's distinctive nosecone

The sale commemorates the 10th anniversary of Concorde's final flight, which took place on October 24, 2003. The "very front point" of the nosecone is offered at 2,000-3,000 ($3,045-4,568).

Also starring is an original design drawing that details Concorde's "Definition of Compartment Boundaries, Ventilation & Drainage", which is dated 1968 and signed by test pilot Brian Trubshaw. It is expected to see bids between 1,000 and 1,500 ($1,522-2,284).
