Nike sell 11 pairs of Doernbecher shoes for $140K
Nike have sold 11 pairs of their specially made "What The Doernbecher" shoes on eBay for $140,000-raising funds for the OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland.
The shoes were made as part of the company's Doernbecher Freestyle Program, currently in its 11th year, which lets kids at the OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland, Oregon, design their own Nike kicks.
Each of the shoes made over $10,000 each when they were sold on the auction site 11th of June.
