A Neil Armstrong signed lithograph by Paul Calle should see strong results on November 15

A rare limited edition lithograph print of Neil Armstrong is currently selling for $1,433 as part of an online auction that closes on November 15.

The artwork was created by Paul Calle, who was one of only eight artists chosen by NASA in 1962 to document the US space program and design its various related postage stamps. Calle was the only artist present as the legendary Apollo 11 crew prepared for launch and was responsible for the design of the First Man on the Moon stamp that marks Armstrong's first step.

The limited edition lithograph print, numbered 727/1000, is signed by Neil Armstrong and Paul Calle, with both signatures added at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum on December 23, 1976 in an effort to raise money for the Charles Lindbergh Memorial Fund.

Armstrong's signature is in superb condition andis a classic example of the most coveted autograph in space collecting. The work itself is still housed in its original protective paper folder and is also in good condition, although it features scattered foxing throughout.

The piece can expect strong resultswhen bidding finishes, with the value of a Neil Armstrong signed photograph up 26% in the last year alone, according to the PFC40 Autograph Index.

Also featuring is another lithograph print, which has been signed by Neil Armstrong, Gene Cernan, Pete Conrad, John Glenn, Rick Hauck, Jack Lousma, James Lovell, Wally Schirra and Alan Shepard. Created and signed by noted military artist Bob Rasmussen and numbered 688 in an edition of 1,000, the piece has a minimum bid of $1,000.
