Neil Armstrong autograph book makes 159% gain on estimate

PFC Auctions has sold a unique autograph book bearing Neil Armstrong's signature

An autograph book containing Neil Armstrong's coveted signature has sold with positive results as part of PFC Auctions' February 28 auction.

The autograph book also contains the signatures of George Foster (baseball), Charley Pride (musician), Foster Brooks (comedian),Gerald Ford (president), Glen Campbell (musician), Pat Boone (musician), Bob Griese (football) and Bob Hope (comedian). It sold for an impressive 1,036 ($1,571), making a 159% increase on its 400 high estimate.

The photographic evidence that accompanied the Neil Armstrong signature, which shows the Moonwalker at a golf game, boosted the sale. It was sold complete with a Todd Mueller certificate of authenticity and a letter of provenance from the collector who acquired the autographs.

Neil Armstong's signature has seen a giant leap in value since he passed away in 2012, as demonstrated by the PFC40 Autograph Index.
