A Nebuchadnezzar of English sparkling wine from the Kent-based Chapel Down winery was sold at Christies this week for £12,500. The bottle was originally created to celebrate the millionth visitor to Margate’s Turner Contemporary and was signed by various big name artists including Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin and Antony Gormley. All the proceeds from the sale are set to go to the Turner Contemporary.
