Born Cassius Clay, Jr., Muhammad Ali (1942-), is a three-time World Heavyweight Champion boxer, nicknamed 'The Greatest'. While still at amateur level, he won a gold medal at the 1960 Summer Olympics. He went on to fight in several historic boxing matches against Joe Frazier and George Foreman.

His career saw 56 wins, no draws and a mere five losses. His boxing style was unorthodox and led to the catchphrase "float like a butterfly, sting like a bee". He is now a firm cultural icon.
