The yellow-ground vase, created circa 1730-1735, will sell with a 80,000-120,000 ($120,000-190,000) estimate. The Augustus Rex mark was introduced in the 18th century, and was reserved for objects produced for the court of Elector Augustus the Strong as founder of the Meissen factory, who later becameKing Augustus II of Poland.

The Delphinium Collection is a private British collection of 18th century Meissen porcelain that was formed over two generations following the second world war. Bonhams is establishing itself as a market leader for Meissen after offering the equally illustrious Marouf Collection in December 2012.
