Lee Harvey Oswald wedding ringLee Harvey Oswald left the ring on the dresser on the morning of the assassination

The ring, which Oswald left with hisestranged wife Marina Oswald Porter on the day of Kennedy's shooting, sold for $108,000.

According to Porter, Lee Harvey Oswald had visited her on November 22, 1963 in an attempt to reconcile their broken marriage. After his attempt proved unsuccessful, he left the ring along with some money in a cup on the dresser and headed to work at the Texas School Book Depository.

The ring is stamped with a hammer and sickle, as Porter is originally of Russian descent and the two were married in Russia after Oswald had defected to the Soviet Union. It spent years in the FBI files on the case, before being recovered by Porter for auction.

The rosary beads worn by Kennedy at the time of his assassination received bids as high as $325,000, yet failed to meet their reserve. This also appears to have been the case with the window from which Lee Harvey Oswald shot the president, though final sale prices have yet to be confirmed.

Alsofeaturing was John F Kennedy's 18k gold presidential ring, which was a gift from his wife, Jackie Kennedy.Inscribed on the inside "JBK to JFK", the ring soldfor $90,000.

The sale is one of many being held to mark the 50th anniversary of JFK's assassination, with values for the top memorabilia expected to be strong. Join the market now with our fantastic selection of Kennedy memorabilia for sale.
