Fashion collector Lady Gaga reveals the location of iconic costumes and memorabilia

Collector Lady Gaga has revealed the location of her most iconic costumes and memorabilia - a secret Hollywood archive.

In an interview with Harper's Bizarre, the Born This Way singer explained: "The fashion I've acquired over the years is so sacred to me - from costumes to couture, high fashion to punk wear I've collected from my secret international hot spots. I keep everything in an enormous archive in Hollywood.

"The clothes are on mannequins, also on hangers and in boxes with a photo of each piece, and there's a web site where I can go to look through everything."

It's not just her own outfits she stores in the archive: Lady Gaga recently bought 55 items in an auction of clothing from her idol, Michael Jackson, which she wears in the studio as a source of inspiration.

Ms Gaga is fast becoming a popular collectible star, with her inimitable style drawing big bids at auction, and she certainly shows a good understanding of what drives collectors.

"My fashion is my most prized possession for two reasons: 1) because it is a visualization of all the hard work I've put in to get where I am today; 2) because it is a legend to the encyclopaedia of my life," she explained.

As for her favourite outfit of all time? Gaga would love to own Audrey Hepburn's My Fair Lady dress, which sold for $3.7m from the Debbie Reynolds collection in 2011.
