Johnnie Walker blue label 1805 Anniversary pack
Johnnie Walker blue label 1805 Anniversary pack is a special edition whisky from 1805 that comes in a set with a shot glass. The pack was created to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Johnnie Walker founder, John Walker’s birth. The whisky
The whisky was bottled in 2005 to celebrate the birth of John Walker on July 25 1805. Only 200 bottles were made, originally intended as gifts for high-profile individuals who have made significant contributions to modern life.
The whisky is noted for being soft with hints of ripe fruit and sweet vanilla. The Bonhams tasting note for the whisky say that if you add a little water to the whisky you can taste ripe cherries, apples, pears and peaches.
Each bottle was presented in a handmade Victorian-style writing case with an antique pen. This was done to reflect the period in which John Walker blended the whiskies himself. Each set also included a replica of the original handwritten recipe book of Alexander Walker, John’s grandson.
Though none of these bottles has been sold publicly, it is believed that each bottle carries a value of around $20,000.
