The International Society for Japanese Philately is a philatelic organization specialising in Japanese stamps and postal history

About the club

The society was founded in Canada in 1945, and has grown from its original three members to be one of the world’s largest single-nation specialist stamp collecting groups with over 1,000 members.

There are active chapters in London, Washington and Copenhagen, all of which hold regular meetings and participate in exhibitions.

The society publishes six issues of its award-winning magazine ‘Japanese Philately’ each year, featuring articles written by contributing members.

In addition the society has an extensive library of research material, and offers a mentoring service to provide information and answers for members on a variety of philatelic subjects.
