A rare Hermes pigskin leather trunk is to headline Christie's Ski Sale in London on January 22 with an estimate of 60,000-80,000 ($99,000-132,000).
Produced in 1922, soon after the company had branched out from making saddles for the Russian royal court, the wardrobe trunk features drawers on one side and hanging space on the other.
Hermes created the leather trunkin 1922
It was purchased by a wealthy Texan who was honeymooning in Parisand used it only once.
Itcomes equipped withbrass handlesand a flip-top lid, along with its original hangers.
