Here's an Ace classic British sportscar...

This 1956 AC Ace journeyed to America, 50 years ago - but now it's back, and on the market

Paul Fraser Collectibles has turned its all-seeing-eye to the classic cars market and uncovered this modified gem, from 1956.

This AC Ace Bristol sports car originally left its factory in October 1956, and was shipped out to Virginia, US.

The Ace was later returned to its homeland in 1988, and purchased by its current owner four years later in 1992.

Since then, the present owner has lovingly restored the car, including converting it to right-hand drive and registering itin the UK.

According to the seller, the Ace has covered around 4,000 miles since its restoration in 1994.

Finished in silver with a magnificent red interior and equipped with full wet weather equipment, the Ace's Bristol 100D engine hasalso been modifiedto a Bristol 100D2.

Most of the left-hand drive parts are available and offered in the sale, for any buyers interested in examining the historic automobile's left-hand drive origins.

The Ace could offer a potential bargain to collectors.Although thecar's modified steering will undoubtedly affect its value, anunmodified 1956 AC Ace can command prices over $100,000.
