Glenfiddich 50 year old whisky is a collectible type of Scotch whisky, produced by the Glenfiddich Distillery in Scotland.

The Glenfiddich Distillery was established in the whisky town of Dufftown, Scotland in 1886 by William Grant.

The company remains a family concern and is owned by William Grant & Sons.

It is currently the world’s best-selling single malt, accounting for around 35% of global single malt sales.

Glenfiddich means “valley of the deer” in Scots Gaelic.

Glenfiddich 50 year old whisky

Glenfiddich 50 year old whisky is a single malt whisky, aged for 50 years and bottled in 1991 and 2009.

The whisky was produced from nine casks formed in the 1930’s, one for each of Grant’s nine children.

Just 500 bottles of the 43% whisky were made in 2009, making them highly collectible. They are currently being released at a rate of 50 per batch. Just 100 have so far been released.

The Glenfiddich 50 year old whisky has a strong oak flavour.

How much is Glenfiddich 50 year old whisky worth?

Bottles can sell for between £5,000 and £11,000 at internet auction sites and through retailers.
