George Harrison (1943 - 2001) was a British singer and songwriter best known for being a member of The Beatles.

Several of The Beatles' most famous songs were written by Harrison, including "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" and "Something."

Musical instruments

Over the years, several musical instruments owned by the Beatles star have been sold at auction.

Harrison’s Gibson SG guitar was sold in a joint Christie’s and Julien’s Auctions sale to a private collector for $567,500 in 2004.

According to a list compiled by Worth magazine in 2009, the guitar was the #8 ‘Top 10 Celebrity Relic’ ever sold at auction.

Classic cars

Harrison’s Aston Martin DB5, the first important car he ever owned, was sold for more than $464,000 at RM Auctions London above its $250,000-300,000 estimate in 2007.
