Friends of the Feather figurines are a series of collectible figurines based on Native American characters.

Background

Friends of the Feather figurines were created by the artist Karen Hahn, and manufactured by the American giftware company Enesco from 1994 up until 2004. The majority of figures in the range were sold through Hallmark stores, but several 1994 limited edition figures were first sold through the company Collectables Today.

When the series was discontinued in 2004, Enesco disposed of all the records relating to the product line meaning there are no accurate records of every figurine produced. As of 2011, around 490 individual models had been catalogued by collectors.

As there are no existing records of the range, identification can sometimes be difficult. Some figures will feature a model number, and limited edition figures will often be marked with a production number (e.g. 2329/7500). Others will include a Friends of the Feather logo, a sticker marked ‘EC’ or a label which says ‘Made by Karen Hahn’.

How much are Friends of the Feather figurines worth?

Although they are now discontinued, and some of the figurines were produced as relatively limited editions, the secondary market for them is not particularly strong as many can still be purchased as new from online collectible gift stores.

Most figurines which appear on sites such as eBay can be purchased for between $5 - $20 in their original boxes.

Complete multi-figure sets can sometimes be rarer and more valuable, and the price will depend on how many figures each set contains. Some complete sets with around ten figures can occasionally sell for up to $250 in NIB (New In Box) condition.
