Friday The 13th Props Museum
The Friday The 13th Props Museum is focused on original and screen used props, costumes and production pieces coming from the different "Friday the 13th" films (released 1980 - 2009 by Paramount and New Line).
The website was created in 2007 to showcase the private Friday the 13th Props Museum of collector Mario Kirner and now serves as an online archive showing many original Friday the 13th pieces survived from the production.
The pieces added to the site coming from various collections, with the name of each responsible owner in the credits next to the item.
The private museum itself features many pieces not yet listed on the website and it is in plans to be showcased to the public sometime in 2012 and 2013. Parts of the inventory were shown on display during a movie related convention in Essen, Germany early 2011.
By December 2011, it has been announced that a team up of well known hobbyists and franchise enthusiasts are in the very early stage of working out a print publication, covering the whole "hardware" of the Friday the 13th franchise. Including collectibles, memorabilia and merchandise such as toys, promotion items and screen used costumes and props.
Exhibits at the museum are provided from the collections of Mario Kirner, Planet Hollywood restaurants and a number of other private collectors as well as production people who worked on the actual films. They include:
- Jason‘s hockey mask
- Jason’s bloody machete
- Jason's knife
- Jason's costume
- Jason's cleaver
- An animatronic tree demon
- An animatronic Jason puppet
