"Magnificent," reads the auctioneer's description. "One of the finest boards on the album. It is in this board that we learn the feelings of heroine Nikopol against Jill Bioskop ("I think I've fallen in love with you at this time ...")."

Bilal's Trilogy follows the story of Alcide Nikopol, who returns to a future France to find it under post-nuclear Fascist rule. Itfamously tookthe artist more than a decade to complete. The 45 x 33.3 cm artwork from 1986, entitled Women's Trap, is estimated at 50,000-60,000.

Also appearing is France's favourite Belgian boy reporter, Herg's Tintin, who last drew bids of 300,000 at Artcurial with another "Museum Piece", 1939's Le Sceptre D'Ottokar (King Ottokar's Sceptre).

Tintin and the Picaros, estimated at 7,000-8,000

Following that success, collectors on the look-out for an entry-level alternative investment will have a chance to invest in Tintin's legacy at the November auction.
