Founding and ownership
Fraser’s Autographs was founded in 1978 by Paul Fraser.
In 1989 Fraser invested in Stanley Gibbons, building a 76.83% stake by 1995. In December 1995 he purchased the remaining shares and Fraser's Autographs was merged into the Stanley Gibbons Group of Companies in 1996.
In April, 2008, Fraser sold his remaining shares in Stanley Gibbons to focus on Paul Fraser Collectibles, a collectibles retailer and news service. Fraser’s Autographs continues to be a part of The Stanley Gibbons Group.
