Franck Muller (watch maker)
Franck Muller is a Swiss watch manufacturer. The company is well known for its daring designs.
It has styled itself as the “master of complications”.
Swiss Franck Muller was born in 1958 and at 15 enrolled in the well-known watch making school, the Ecole d'Horlogerie de Genève.
After graduating in the early 1980s Muller began working for Patek Philippe & Co.
In 1984 Muller designed a tourbillon watch and in 1991 he opened the first Franck Muller store. Since then the company has grown rapidly and now has five factories.
The company produces a new collection each year. These collections often contain new patents.
Elton John, Demi Moore and Robin Williams are among the celebrities who own Franck Muller watches.
Most complicated watch
The first Aeternitas Mega 4 sold for $2.7 million in 2009.
The watch was bought by Michael Gould, a US watch collector.
It is said to be the world’s most complicated watch, with 36 complications and 1483 individual components.
