Edward VIII officers sword prince of Wales Royal

Edward VIII's officers sword and record of services, owned when he was still the Prince of Wales, is up for sale at Christies. The sword was made by Henry Wilkinson of London,dated August 1914, and is number 44744. The blade has been engraved with the 'GR V' Royal cypher, battle honours and regimental insignia of the Grenadier Guards and the crest and monogram of Edward, Prince of Wales. The lot is offered at the auction with a £10,000- £15,000 estimate on September 3rd.
