Collectors can bid on The Man in Black, Johnny Cash, in Beverly Hills

Julien's special Cash sale in December will feature the legend's guitars, outfits and autographs...

He once sang that he "killed a man in Reno, just to watch him die..."

And now folk singing legend Johnny Cash is set to make another killing, this time at Julien's upcoming celebrity memorabilia auction in Beverly Hills.

Highlights in the sale include this guitar, signed and played by Cash

According to reports, the sale will comprise items from Cash's time in the military, his life as a singer and television personality, and from his famous marriage to June Carter Cash.

Highlights among the lots include guitars - three from different points in his career, including a studio-used a vintage 1951 Martin (estimated at $20,000-30,000) - stage outfits, and lyrics.

Among the lyrics is an alternate version of his classic Don't Take Your Guns To Town ($2,000-4,000) and his personal take on various traditional songs.

Another guitar, worn by Cash on the front cover of his The Survivors live LP, has been inscribed by the singer with the first four lines of his famous song I Walk the Line ($20,000-30,000).

Also auctioning is a set of stage trousers made by Cash's mother, offering a rare and historic insight into 'The Man in Black's' early style.

Julien's auctions is scheduled to take place on Sunday, December 5. Bidders can 'walk in line' at the auctioneer's Beverly Hills showroom, or take part in the sale online.
