A Coade stone monument of the Royal coat of arms of Queen Victoria sold at Sotheby's yesterday for £37,500. Coade stone was often used for molding Neoclassical statues owing to it's high virtually weatherproof quality and was used in the refurbishment of Buckingham Palace in the 1820's.
