Birthe Marie, launched in 1933 as a Danish fishing ketch. The 36ft (11m) somehow ended up on England's River Tyne, where she was rescued in 2005 by her now-owner, Mark Jardine. In good, gritty workboat style befitting the boat, the spars are fashioned from old telegraph poles.
