In 2010, Cherrystone auctioned over 150 pieces from the Alexander Collection of Imperial Russian Stamps, including a strip of five 1857 brown and blue stamps which sold for $230,000.1

Later in the same year, the auction house sold a 1918 ‘Inverted Jenny’ stamp for $300,000.
