Hart Davis Hart Wine Co., the internationally renowned retailer, will hold an exciting auction of finest and rarest wines on October 29th at award-winning restaurant Tru in Chicago.

The auctioneer will no doubt be feeling particularly confident, following the storming sale that it held last month. That was a white glove wine auction (meaning every last lot was sold) with one regular bidder bemused to find they were struggling to buy anything.

The auction will begin promptly at 9:00am, includes over 1300 lots, and is estimated to fetch $3.3-$4.9 million. The impressive sale features a number of important private cellars from all areas of the US.

In total, 98 lots of Chteau Lafite Rothschild worth an estimated $670,000-$1,000,000 will be offered, along with 100 lots from Domaine de la Romane-Conti including 26 lots of La Tache and 10 lots of Romane-Conti.

In addition to Lafite, a library of perfectly-stored Bordeaux will be offered including 62 lots of Latour, 74 lots of Margaux, 83 lots of Mouton and 27 lots each of Cheval Blanc and Haut-Brion, nearly all in original wood cases.

Also included is a dazzling array of highly-sought rare Burgundy from respected producers Domaine Ponsot, Henri Jayer, Armand Rousseau and Roumier.

Highlights include six bottles of 1990 Chambertin, Armand Rousseau ($6,000-$9,000), eight bottles 1990 Clos de la Roche, Vieilles Vignes Domaine Ponsot ($6,500-$9,500) and one bottle of 1995 Vosne-Romane, Cros Parantoux Henri Jayer ($1,700-$2,600).

Bidders will also find top wines from the Rhne, featuring an impressive array of Guigal's single vineyard Cte Rties.
