A stunning example of the Casablanca six-sheet has seen strong bids as part of Heritage Auctions' March 23-24 Vintage Movie Poster Signature Auction in Dallas, Texas.

Casablanca poster six-sheet auction Casablanca memorabilia is always hot property, but as one of only two known, this poster sold strongly

The poster is one of the most sought after in vintage movie poster collecting, as well as one of the rarest. It sold for an impressive $107,550, without a pre-sale estimate set by the auction house.

There are just two examples of the 1942 large format poster known to exist, with this example selling in very fine condition. Mounted on linen, it had been restored prior to the sale, with some touch-ups to fold lines, centre-points and outer edges, as well as minor restoration to the lettering.

Unlike many posters of this age, the poster has very little paper loss and is almost completely in its original state.

In December 2012, Casablanca once again grabbed international headlines as one of the pianos used in the movie sold for $602,500 to actor Leonardo DiCaprio. We are currently offering a pair of Humphrey Bogart's jodhpurs for sale.

Paul Fraser Collectibles has some superb Disney memorabilia on offer, including a rare autographed sketch of Mickey Mouse in Walt Disney's own hand, which issomething rarely seen as Disney never completely animated a single Mickey Mouse cartoon or drew a Mickey Mouse comic. What's more, this example is on a copy of Ivanhoe that has been signed by 28 members of the illustrious Bohemian Club.
