Brief history and description

Carl Michael Yastrzemski was a famous American baseball player who played for the Boston Red Sox throughout his entire career (from 1961 to 1983).

Yastrzemski is considered to be one of the best baseball players in Major League Baseball history, and was the first American League player in the 3000 Hit Club to hit over 400 home runs. Yastrzemski was voted the American League MVP in 1967, and also won seven Gold Gloves, hit 452 Home Runs, and was elected to play in 17 different All-Star games.

Yastrzemski was elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1989.

Guide for collectors

Carl Yastrzemski rookie cards which were once signed by Yastrzemski are considered to be the most rare and valuable among collectors. A 1960 Topps Carl Yastrzemski rookie card is also considered to be valuable, especially if the card is sold within a complete set of other Topps baseball cards from 1960 or 1961.

Cards which have common flows such as rounded edges or creases are considered to be less valuable.

Restoration of a Carl Michael Yastrzemski rookie card is recommended, but only if there is noticeable damage. However, restoring the card may decrease its value.
