Camden Lock horse statues among top lots at Summers Place

The horse statues have been landmarks in Camden Lock Market since the 1990s

The famous bronze horse statues from London's Camden Lock Market are to cross the block at Summers Place Auctions in Billinghurst, UK on October 21.

Eighteenequine lots from the popular market will auction, with estimates of between 3,000 ($4,905) and 25,000 ($40,881).

They were installed in the 1990s, to commemorate the area's former role as a stable and veterinary surgery.

James Rylands, auctioneer and co-director of Summers Place Auctions, commented: "The life-sized bronzes will no doubt appeal to anyone who loves horses, but for many Camden fans, this could also be an opportunity to own a little bit of Camden Lock's history and bring back great memories of many visits to the market."
