Bruce Lee's 'lost interview' suit is the highlight of a sale of his memorabilia

The brown suede suit worn by Bruce Lee during his famous "lost interview" is currently carrying a bid of $72,151 atNate D Sanders'auction of Lee memorabilia, which ends later today in Los Angeles.

One of the greatest martial artists of the 20th century, Bruce Lee starred in five full-length films that popularised kung fu across the world.

The 1971 interview was lost for decades, only resurfacing in 1994. One of the definitive moments in Lee's career, it features the actor's famous "Be water" quote that has become one of his most enduring utterances.

The lot features a two piece chestnut brown suede suit in near fine condition and comes from the collection of Herb Jackson - Lee's friend and protege, who also produced the majority of Lee's gym equipment.

Lee gave Jacksonthe suit on the set of Return of the Dragon, which was filmed in 1972, a year before Lee's tragic death at the age of 32.

A punch bag owned and used by Lee is at $16,838. Stamped with the brand name Atlas, the bag features moisture staining to the bottom quarter but is in otherwise fine condition.

It was used in his martial art academy in Los Angeles, where he taught jeet kune do - a martial art and philosophy that he developed in the late 1960s.

A Roman chair, built by Jackson and sellingfor $11,500, also features in the sale.
