Bru bebe doll to star at Morphy's with $25,000 estimate

The 19th century Bru bebe doll is the standout lot at the September 21 auction

A 19th century French Bru circle dot bebe doll is coming to Morphy's Doll Auction on September 21 with a high estimate of $25,000.

"Dolls made in France around the 1870s and 1880s were exquisite productions," comments Jan Foulke, Morphy's doll specialist.

"No other dolls can match them for their beauty and quality."

An early 1980s Steiff studio giraffe, standing 8-feet tall and retaining its original Steiff button, will also feature, with a $6,000 valuation.

They are among 623 lots on offer at the Denver, Pennsylvania sale.
