Bret Michaels's Bentley Continental and Jay Leno 'rock' classic car auction

Michaels, Leno and even Alice Cooper were at this classic car auction - with a very unique tractor

Rock legend and reality TV star Bret Michaels, chat show host and collector Jay Leno, and Goth rocker Alice Cooper all rolled into a classic car auction in Scottsdale, Arizona, last week.

They were among more than 250,000 attendees comprising classic car experts, enthusiasts and, of course, devoted collectors at the January 15-22 event.

Michaels auctioned no less than four of his own personal vehicles, and also played a few of his classic songs to the enthusiastic crowd.

Big highlights from Michaels' collection included a 2004 Bentley Continental GT which sold for $128,700 and a 2004 Lincoln Navigator. The latter had featured on VH1 show "Rock of Love" and brought $29,150.

And it wasn't only four-wheeled classic vehicles that helped to whip the crowd into a frenzy.

Also appearing for sale was a 2007 American Ironhorse Custom Motorcycle. US telly addicts might recognise the bike from such VH1 shows as "Rock of Love", "MTV Cribs" and VH1's "Bret Michaels -Life As I Know It".

Present bidders certainly 'knew it', pushing bids on the rare motorcycle up to an impressive $46,200.

Meanwhile, "Tonight Show" host Jay Leno kindly donated at tractor from his own collection to the event. The New Holland Tractor was autographed not only by Leno, but also by former President George W Bush.

The tractor sold to benefit the Fisher House Foundation, a non-profit organisation which helps wounded military members' families.

In the end, the tractor brought $535,000, making this one of the more unusual examples of political memorabilia to have appeared on the markets.

Autographs signed by former US Presidents are among the most coveted memorabilia pieces you can buy. And many of them are less expensive than you might think.

Examples we have for sale include this program for a dinner of the Republic Citizens Finance Committee of Indiana signed by Ronald Reagan, the 40th President of the United States, himself.

This very rare Ronald Reagan autograph on an historic program is for sale here at Paul Fraser Collectibles

Ourautograph isn't etched on the side of a tractor. Yet this rare piece of American Presidential history can be yours for just 950.
