Blackburn Rovers Scandinavian tour memorabilia to auction at Lockdales

Blackburn Rovers undertook two tours of Scandinavia during the 1930s

A set of memorabilia from two tours of Scandinavia taken by Blackburn Rovers in 1934 and 1939 are to cross the block at Lockdales in Ipswich, UK on September 13-14.

The Lancashire Telegraph reports that the sale will include a set of leather bound tour itineraries as well as a range of other items from the club's history.

James Sadler of Lockdales told the publication: "Our clubs go on Scandinavian tours now, but I didn't realise they did pre-war.

"I've never come across items like this and, not surprisingly, many collectors have been taking an early interest."
