A Bill Hanna signed Fred Flintstone cartoon sketch is a piece of hand-drawn artwork by the celebrated American animator William Hanna.

 

Background information

Bill Hanna was an American animator who co-founded the animation studio Hanna-Barbera along with his business partner Joseph Barbera.

Their company went on to produce some of the most iconic and popular characters and shows in animation history, including The Flintstones, Yogi Bear, The Jetsons, Huckleberry Hound and Scooby Doo.

During their careers the duo won seven Academy Awards and eight Emmy awards for their work, and most of their shows remain in syndication today having spawned a multi-million dollar empire of feature films, toys and merchandising.

Item description

This hand-drawn sketch of Fred Flintstone, one of Hanna’s most iconic and famous characters, appears on a sheet of white paper measuring 7” by 9 ½”.

The sketch is drawn in black ink, with Hanna’s signature appearing beneath in the left-hand corner.
