Beatles Yellow Submarine photos up for auction at $80,000

A rare collection of photos sees the Beatles meeting their Yellow Submarine characters

An incredibly rare collection of photographs showing the Beatles and their Yellow Submarine counterparts is coming to auction with Omega Auctions on November 29-30 in the UK.

The collection of 161 transparencies was taken in 1967/1968 and shows the band with life-size cut-outs of their characters in the animated movie, as well as watching and laughing at the film. Sold with copyright, the entire collection will auction with a 40,000-50,000 ($80,850-64,680) estimate.

The photos formpart of Omega Auctions' Music Memorabilia, Equipment and Northern Soul sale, which is also offering a first pressing of the Beatles' Please Please Me for 4,000-5,000 ($6,468-8,085).
