Beatles signed 'Pepper' album to auction for $30,000+ at Heritage

A fine Beatles-signed Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album will star on March 30

Perhaps the finest Beatles signed album in existence will be sold in Heritage Auctions' March 30 Entertainment & Music Memorabilia Signature Auction in Dallas, Texas.

Finest Beatles Signed album Sgt Pepper's'One of the top Beatles collectibles, and certainly signed collectibles of all time'.

The copy of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band bears crisp signatures from each of the Fab Four across the iconic gatefold, with each member signing above his picture. It is expected to see bids in excess of $30,000 as the top item of music memorabilia consigned to the sale.

"As for impact and presentation, this 'Pepper' signed album tops them all," commented Perry Cox, one of two leading Beatles experts' to have authenticated the album.

"Without question, it's one of the top Beatles collectibles, and certainly signed collectibles of all time, proudly adorning what is considered by most rock and roll critics as the top rock and pop album of all time."

The mono LP, a UK Parlophone copy, will auction alongside a 45 single of My Bonnie/The Saints, which is also expected to see bids of more than $30,000. Released by Tony Sheridan in 1961, the singlefeatures the Beatles as The Beat Brothers, and is one of the rarest Beatles records.

In July 2012, a copy of the rarest Beatles promo 45 sold for $35,000, making a 16.6% increase on its $30,000 high estimate and spelling good things for the present sale.

Also starring is a poster from the Beatles' landmark concert at New York's Shea Stadium in 1965, which is estimated at $3,500+. On March 22, collectors will have the chance to bid on a collection of 61 images taken by one of only two photographers granted stage access for the legendary gig.
