The Arizona/Phoenix Diamondbacks are a professional American baseball team based in Phoenix, Arizona.

The team colors are red, black, sand and white.

The team was established in 1998 and became the fastest expansion team in the majors to win a championship after winning the World Series title within four seasons in 2001.

Since their formation, the Diamondbacks have won one World Series title in 2001, and five National League West Division titles in 1999, 2001, 2002, 2007 and 2011. Leslie Hindman Auctioneers in Chicago, Illinois sold a baseball commemorating the Arizona Diamondbacks winning the 2001 World Championship which was signed by Ernie Harwell as well as a 2000 New York Subway Series and a 1984 World Series baseball, both of which were also signed by Harwell, for $140 in April of 2004.


Regency-Superior, LTD. in St. Louis, Missouri sold the original charcoal drawing depicting the seven games of the 2001 World Series including a depiction of the 2001 Arizona Diamondbacks as World Champions drawn by artist Ed West for $350 in December of 2006.
